Snoopy Town Japan

With news of many, if not all, Japan's Snoopy Town stores closing down at the end of March, it can sink the heart of the fan. In Tokyo especially, we see our favorite and most famous store, the Harajuku store close on the 26th March. I went to visit this store and the Yokohama Minatomirai Store to see what it had transformed into before the close.

I was expecting alot of sales, and clearance items and stuff all over the place. But no!

The store was half empty with "new item" posted on many shelves, probably only a handful of items on 30%-50% Off clearance. This was at both stores!

So behold! What this is saying is that Snoopy Town is resizing and remodelling, and before soon, we'll see a few stores sprout over the two cities of Tokyo and Osaka.

1. Snoopy Town Mini - Tokyo Station Ichibangai Store (Open March 8th)
2. Osaka-Umeda Store - Inside Kiddyland Osaka-Umeda Store (Exp. 2008.4)
3. Harajuku Store - Inside Kiddyland Harajuku (Exp. 2008.5)

So rest assured, the good things will continue and the 40years that have seen Snoopy (Peanuts) in Japan, will undoubtedly continue! ( Tokyo Station store image below)
